Exciting chapter. alex really is quite talented for her age, isn't she? but then, being that she started off as one of the few kiddos that actually had some control over magic even before school...
your writing glimpse into the native american wizard society is quite fascinating as well :0
So I go around the globe with no internet access, and before I check the news, I check AQATSA. Take it as a compliment. I'm glad she finally met Manuelito, and it sounds like she now has a lot more information. Surprised he didn't just kill but that that wouldn't be much of a story, would it.
I think he is very deeply involved in the Lands Below and am wondering what the connection is to the Stars Above.
What an exciting chapter! I'm liking this Henry character. I especially liked how he called her on the petty way that she got back at those teenagers who'd been teasing her. I've always thought that Alex was the type to misuse her powers against those who are unable to defend themselves against them, if she didn't fear the consequences of a trace, and it seems I was right. At least she had the decency to feel a bit of shame for it when Henry made her think about what effect her actions might have on others.
Now, if only she'd thought about that a little more carefully before she set out on this mad quest. Or before running off into the desert, again, without having a clue of how to survive. She'd better be prepared to hand that map fragment over to Henry when he finally catches her, because the man is going to be very, very put out.
This chapter was ACTION PACKED!!!! Loved it! Can't wait for Friday's update, and see what Alex does this time?!?! Wonder if Charlie is going to peck her to death when he finally catches up with her...AGAIN....hahahahahahahahaa
I'm just going to sit here and quietly squee to myself.
We drove through Four Corners on our way to somewhere more interesting (Durango, CO). Its some of the most terrifyingly stark landscape you will ever see.
