I have not started writing Alexandra Quick, Book Five yet. I'm not going to give you a schedule or an ETA, though I will tell you when I begin and keep you updated on its progress.

Don't even hope for it to be done before next year, though.

Right now, I have a general idea in my head of the major events that will happen, and a very, very rough outline which will probably bear no resemblance to the finished draft.

Yay Ozarker Grannies!
I love following your fiction... thanks for limiting my time wasting.

Either she won't need a wand, or she'll get a better one.

And this is where I show my addiction. Well, here is my quick fix of AQ thinking guesses. Then I'm off until Monday.
AQ and the Worlds Apart, about being in a world of wandless people (too general)
AQ and the Witch's Apprentice, about the Ozarker Grannies teaching her (too cliche)
AQ and the Wings Abscond, about her becoming an animorphmagus (makes no sense)
AQ and the Winds Around, about General Hucksteen's tornado conspiracy (talk about not making sense!)
AQ and the Woods Attack, she's with the Grannies in the Woods and finds out her destiny
AQ and the Wishes Accepted, she gets something she wants.
AQ and the Wicked Academy, where she learns to be really evil
AQ and the Wizard's Angst, an annoying story where L,O,V,E somehow ends up solving all problems stemming from selfishness and immaturity.
I do know that anything I guess will be wrong. So you can be assured it is NOT one of the ones I listed, at least!

Inspired by Anonjune, I will list my own series of speculations.

Alexandra Quick and the Warlocks Alliance: Abraham Thorn finally begins his rebellion.

Alexandra Quick and the Wolof Academy: Alexandra goes to a small school in Louisiana with Angelique and learns about many "non-traditional wizarding practices." ('Wolof' subject to change as soon as I think of a better w-word)

Alexandra Quick and the World Above: Well, we already have a Lands Below and Lands Beyond, so one more can't hurt.

Alexandra Quick and the Witch's Arrow: Alexandra goes to the Indian Territories and, since this is a fantasy novel, gets sent on a fetch quest for an Important Magical Item. ('Arrow' subject to change as soon as I think of a better a-word)

Other plot ideas that I don't even have a crappy "WA" name for:

-Alexandra goes to a Majokai school, tries to be a Mighty Whitey and fails.

-Alexandra goes to the Ozarks and gets taught various Super Secret spells by the Grannies. She ends up getting arrested for one reason or another, forcing the Pritchards to rescue her and thus get themselves exiled from the Ozarks. Much angst ensues.

-Anna actually succeeds in convincing her father to get Alexandra back into Charmbridge. For extra irony value, Alexandra proceeds to get herself expelled again halfway through the book.

Other ideas that can fit into any of the above scenarios:

-The climax involves Abraham attacking Charmbridge.

-The Ozarker Grannies try to manipulate Alexandra into being their prophecied hero or whatever and Alexandra doesn't take it well.

-Larry Albo develops a (mostly) irrational grudge against Alexandra and becomes a serious villain.

-Alexandra tries to ride one of the dragons and fails in an amusing manner.

-The one trying to kill Alexandra was Nat (Darla's House-Elf).

-Cleopatra Dupree becomes a pirate. (She did lose an eye...)

Oh, I almost forgot, Alexandra will also find a way to enter that inter-school competition thingy you mentioned a few times in Book 4. This will give you the opportunity to (a) introduce the "students from other magical schools" and (b) have Alex lose to Larry again, lol. (Assuming he'll still be able to duel with half his fingers missing...)

Maybe she'll go to another school, which would fit nicely into the interschool magical competition idea. Like send her to Durmstrang, then have her spend a year at Hogwarts. :)

I'm going to go with "students from other magical schools" because I doubt Claudia and Lydia will let Alexandra run around freely once summer's over.
Also I think this will be the year she learns Wandless magic and becomes even more badass.
And ideally she'll get a lot more mature.

Wandless are the people who left the magical world. So I doubt she is going to learn magic from them.

I meant like, using magic without a wand like Harry learned (in book 6 I think.) I think she'd be better at it than he was.

Hm...maybe Ill reread the other books see if I can guess the title, a good writer always foreshadows things, I think the words Wand-less, Witches, Warlock, Warning, Werewolves are common enough that they may stand for the W in AQATWA and maybe Augury, Abyss, Alliance,Academy (archie, anna, angelique,acadia, alchemy, Artificers, Auror) could be anything rlly...Anyway things that i would be disappointed in not seeing in the next books plot, Alexandra going to Roanoke or the Jubilee for the summer,her finding out what the prophecy said, maybe something the Grannies show/ or tell her will reveal it? Ms.King/or Julia knowing about what happened to Claudia way back when(possibly being responsible), Totsie keeping in touch about Nigel, Alex&Brian, either she'll learn magic without a wand or most likely once shes allowed back into school she'll be given a wand back(it seems likely that she'll be back in Charmbridge because of all the characters you've introduced who still go there) plus how else will the Grimms keep an eye on her---um maybe she'll figure something about her cat mother Hecate, and I'm totally going to put everyone on the suspect list of whose trying to kill her, Mary n Angelique maybe, Mr.Grue, Shirtliffe, one of the Grimms, the elfs, tomo but most likely it'll end up being someone totally unsuspecting like whoever the mysterious rude young cursebreaker is?! martin, torvald, sue fox, or wayne reeves...lol ok ok i'll stop i'll be back alot later for more speculating

Make more use of Alexandra's other sisters.

New Powers.

Brian becomes important to the plot (and/or danger (or advantage?) of revealing magical world to Muggles at large)

Alexandra gets another boyfriend who she has actual feelings for, which is a complication to the main plot.

Alexandra delivers a smackdown to someone supposedly more powerful than her (Shirtliffe/one of the Grimms/Tsotsie/Abraham(!)).

Alexandra is strongly tempted by 'the dark side' (perhaps as a result of the above).

Alexandra does something stupid and impulsive that results in one of her friends being seriously/permanently injured/incapacitated (this one is hardly a reach).

Alexandra Quick and the WODAMND Act?

Probably not as it has already been mentioned in the books, but on the other hand, it wouldn't take a miracle for Alex to be arrested because of it.

Aside from that, maybe Alexandra Quick and the Warlock's Apprentice? After all, Abraham made it clear he wouldn't be leaving his youngest alone any time soon.

But in the end, we all will have to wait and see until Inverarity takes pity on us and reveals the true title.

I suspect Brian will become the 'Xander' of the series and is perhaps what Alexandra will need in the adult world: someone who she loves/respects and can talk her into moderating her loose cannon qualities.

She will compete in that tournament thingy and do very well, which will lead to her being offered further educational opportunities, but there will be problems/temptations/interesting things.

Huckstien will eventually turn out to be the BBEG.
