So, one thing I noticed about this book compared to later ones is your adoption of the omniscient narrator perspective -- in other words, describing what characters besides Alexandra think and feel. I could be wrong, but it seems to me that you stopped doing that in later books; you stuck to Alex's perspective (like what JK Rowling did with Harry, with the exception of a couple scenes). Was that a conscious decision?
