This chapter was so satisfying. When Ben raised his hand to Innocence, I (as a reader) needed Alex to do something, and she came through in a bad and seriously bad-ass way. I don't imagine that her conversation with the Dean will go pleasantly, or that she's going to explain herself very well, but for me, it's a case of her breaking rules to do something that needed to be done while knowing the consequences, and accepting those consequences as a satisfactory price. All in all: the duel was made of awesome.

And "piikkikipu"? You're going with Finnish now? It's like your challenging me.

Oh: and I forgot to ask this before, but in chapter four, Alex spotted a woman in a white gown, white gloves and RADDISH EARRINGS. Was it just a Luna Lovegood shout-out, or was that supposed to be Luna herself in the Goblin Market???
