I betaed for kennahijja, who, apart from being another genius, is far more distant from my views than you are (she is a German Socialist, you work it out); and I don't think there has been any issue with that, even though the actual item I betaed was in total contrast with my views of heroism and Harry Potter. When I am dealing with someone else's work, I make it a point not to force my views on it.
