Parse the phrase "I know some folks claim that she just made it up after all the books were published because she wanted the attention" with particular attention to the clause after the word "because" (which I have helpfully italicized for you above).

I know there are other theories for her alleged retconning. If you believe she did it for PC reasons, fine, you don't think she's an attention whore, but you are still calling her a liar.
