This book sounds interesting. I have several friends who are Lakota, and from hearing their stories, the massacre (not battle) at Wounded Knee was muted quite viciously. They intimated to me that the HBO feature of "Bury my Heart at Wounded Knee" was closer to the truth of what really happened there. They are a people who are rich in culture and controversy, ill give them that. They are a warrior people, like mine (The Chiracua Apache) and the book seems like an interesting read. Anothe book to check out.
