So I'm curious -- when did you end up on Dark Lord Potter then? From what I can (vaguely) recall it was after someone posted your story for review there? Heh, I know as a general rule DLP hasn't got the best reputation on some other sites.
I rather enjoyed reading this, thanks for posting it. The history of getting into fanfic is something I haven't thought of in these terms before; how someone who hadn't been in the fandom before might trigger "back button" reflexes and whatnot.
