Yeah...I also read this one, over the summer while on vacation. Let's just say it didn't make it into the suitcase for the return journey. I think it was my lowest rated read of the year.
Unfortunate, given that a similar premise underpinned my top book of the year, Codename Verity, which was a YA novel. I hate the idea of someone into the topic picking up Mr Churchill's Secretary over Codename Verity, because one is labelled YA and the other is ostensibly more adult. In this case the YA offering was far more sophisticated, clever, and well-written.
