Good points well made. I have never read any of Card's books (though I have heard people rave about how OMG AWESOME Enders Game is, i never made the effort to read it) and now, hearing you confirm some stuff I have heard elsewhere (namely, that Card is an ass) I seriously doubt I will ever read any of his work. Just like despite enjoying The Dragon Riders of Pern, once I found out about Anne McCaffrey's views on homosexuality (especially what is now infamously known as 'The Tentpeg Incident') I just cannot bring myself to read them anymore.
