There is a point here, that culture doesn't exist in a vacuum, and that Conan (like most entertainment) contains a lot of embedded messages that are worth questioning.

The problem is Hornbeck isn't actually trying to make that point - she simply assumes it, and is not talking about subtle manifestations of racism and sexism. Her argument, explicitly stated, is that if you are a Conan fan, you're in the killing minorities, women-hating camp, and literally responsible for rape, murder, and Donald Trump.
