I used to love science fiction, though I haven't read much lately. I particularly liked Ursula LeGuin (no great shock there I bet!).
Right now I'm sorta taking a writing hiatus to be honest. I started playing bass again after a 17 year hiatus and have been in a band here in San Diego for about two years now, called Plunderbund. It's a great creative outlet and nice change from the writing grind.
