I liked the expanded version of The Stand. But I am also one of those people who complains about King writing bloated books with hundred-page tangents. It's all interesting, but a lot of it doesn't actually move the plot forward. So yeah, my internal editor is something I need to work on -- especially since I'm not Stephen King.
