Despite its flaws, Dracula is still my favorite vampire story (and I'm a bit of a vampire connoisseur), and it's on my list of my Ten Favorite Books Ever (along with To Kill A Mockingbird and Pride and Prejudice).
My biggest issue with it, funnily enough, is Quincy the Lone American--his accent drives me bonkers. Also note that he's the only male hero who dies (figures).
If you need a laugh and you like vampires, I highly recommend the Discworld book, Carpe Jugulum. (Terry Pratchett does vampires--how could it not be awesome?) A cursory knowledge of Discword helps but isn't necessary.
