AQATSA: I am a son of the father of lies
AQATSA is at 266K words now. I am about halfway through Chapter 45, and Chapter 46 should be the last chapter. I expect them both to be relatively short chapters. I've just been having the damndest hard time putting my butt in the chair and writing. Part of this is because I've just undergone some very major and stressful events.
Also, I've recently learned that I am literally a minion of Satan, so I'm sure it will come as no surprise to you that I'm not quite going to make my July 31 deadline for a finished first draft. Sadly, my dedication to corrupting the morals of all who come in contact with me and perverting truth and goodness had to come first.
Anyway, I had no creative ideas for teasers or pictures, so you'll just have to settle for another Wordle, this one unfiltered, with all 266K words tallied up.
Re: Jesus Christ, dude
Thanks also for putting words in my mouth re: Wright. He doesn't know history, not because he's right-wing, but because he's a bigot. And I have far better things to do than trying to convince a bigot out of his bigotry. Like watching paint dry.

Re: Jesus Christ, dude
I am not saying, and have never said, that you should not associate with someone because of his views. I am saying that you should not associate with someone because of his bigotry. Do not conflate bigotry with garden-variety ideology.
And being intolerant of bigotry is in no way worse than the bigotry itself. I would argue that it is, in fact, far better.
Re: Jesus Christ, dude
Bigot.
*roll eyes*
In addition, I believe everything should be questioned. But if you question human rights for minorities, whether they be racial, religious, or sexual, you should not expect to be met by respectful disagreement.
I don't think bigots are "unpeople." I just think they're assholes.

Re: Jesus Christ, dude
I've never heard a more perfect description of a Catholic. I'd know: I'm an apostate.
(I know he's gone, but, really: speaking to him after he's been banned is just as effective as speaking to him when he could reply.)
Re: Jesus Christ, dude
I've got no love for the Church, but I do know some decent Catholics.
Re: Jesus Christ, dude
And I think that's often the case with any group of people. Most of the group are decent human beings who don't harass others over simple disagreements. They're perfectly content to live their own lives according to their own beliefs without any disposition toward imposing those beliefs on others. Consequently, they're a quiet majority. We don't hear much from them.
It's that nasty, tiny, thunderous fringe of belligerents that tarnish the reputation of any group. They hold themselves out as representatives of the group, despite the fact that even that quiet majority finds them to be raving lunatics; despite the fact that those in the fringe usually don't consider that less-hostile majority of their own group to be "true believers." Fpb doesn't represent all Catholics, or even most Catholics, but he certainly represents the worst of them.
None of which, of course, has anything at all to do with your progress on Stars Above. Make with it, man. With the last Potter film out and over, all I've got to look forward to now is Pottermore.
