I get messages every week asking if I am still writing AQ, if I will ever finish book five, etc. I appreciate it, honestly. It makes me feel bad, because I'm still having trouble devoting any time to writing and so, as you know, I've stopped giving promises or updates or anything more than "Yes, I do hope to finish it someday."

For what it's worth, I opened the manuscript and started writing some more this week, for the first time in a long time. I'm going to try to keep at it.

Just one small request, folks. A few of you (like [livejournal.com profile] iamnumberalpha) send me LJ PMs asking me to respond, and when I try to do so, I find that your privacy settings do not allow you to receive PMs. So check your account settings if you actually want me to reply to you!

I'm very excited to hear that you're working on AQ!

But I also totally understand that life gets in the way and makes things difficult. I do. :)

You've written a very exciting and unique world nestled in the Harry potter setting that never fails to entice. You're honestly an inspiration <3

(literally--I'm running a American Harry Potter game--it's totally different from yours, but I wouldn't have had the courage to DO it if not for you. :)

I wish you all the luck in the world, with AQ and whatever else is tickling your fingers these days :) Creativity is life! :D

(What I'd like to know is if you post stuff anywhere else. You are the majority of my livejournal activity these days! :) )

That's really cool - I think I've mentioned before that I first conceived of Alexandra Quick when I wanted to run an American HP game myself. (That game never actually happened.)

I used to blog, but nowadays it's just forums and Facebook, mostly.

That's awesome :D I don't know if you mentioned it or not--but it's news to me :) Sadly, there's only me and my husband playing--our gaming team moved away... but it's fun al lthe same--a little more self indulgent and slice of life :)

A lot of people run twitters these days, even if just to say "I posted a new thing" ... Not that I"m recommending it exactly. I'll just keep swinging my Livejournal once a week or so. :)

(I keep up with twitter and facebook and it still absorbs too much of my life. Ugh.)

Yes! Just what I needed to hear coming off a 24 hour shift.

Happy to hear it. No pressure though.

Thank you for the update, but I'm sorry people are proving difficult to communicate with. (This is a belated response as I'm on vacation, but wonderful news, no matter how brief.) I hope that the writing process goes well for you and you enjoy working on your story once again. If not, I think I understand how difficult and intense trying to work on a tough project can be.
Also, while I created my LJ account for updates now I check in every week (normally) for book reviews. I've found some great books following your reviews. Keep 'em up!

I just discovered your Alexandra Quick series this week, and am starting Albion four. Like everyone else, I too wondered if there would be more. I just wanted to say that I can understand if there isn't, but that it is so incredibly well written, that if you were able to ublish it without fear of lawsuits because of the Harry Potter connection, it'd be a best seller. It's incredible.
Also, I hear book five is started... is there a link to the start of it, or will you not post it until it is finished (or I guess not at all if you don't finish it.)
Again, just wanted to say that you're an incredible writer.

Thank you. I have about half of book five written, and have for a while. It's just been very, very slow finishing the other half.
