I'm glad we're finally starting to tie up loose ends, although I do wonder if she'll ever be in school! She's quite talented but definitely needs an education.
Your loose ends comment reminds that I now started rereading the series for early clues, and find, for example, that Inverarity planted the Royal Sweets and Confectionary of Larkin Mills already in the very first chapter. Her chimera wand core is also telling ("someone had to die to get the hair, mark my words," said the wand maker), as is what other commenters have already pointed out, Claudia's coldness toward Alexandra, expressed in many ways.
Yes, a lot of loose ends have been tied up - but they just seem to create new ones. Especially her mother being a cat. While I think Alex needs to go to school, is she really going to be able to handle being in the same building as her cat? So far every single one of my predictions has been wrong, so I'm going to do my best not to predict anything! I had forgotten about those clues.
Add to those new loose ends John's comment that Alex was born for sacrifice. Does John know about her vow to the Generous Ones, or did Abraham Thorn intensify his struggle because Alex was going to be chosen for the Deathly Regiment and John knows that?
John's comment is a bit akin to the half prophecy Voldemort had known about Harry, a mystery for later consumption.
Great job
